12.01.2006 JageX's 5000 Account RSC Mass Ban Jagex has taken swift action today and is fed up with the number of autoers in the RSC version. They took severe measures as to ban over 5000 users who's accounts have been flagged by their macro system and even made the unexpected move as to restrict RSC from all new players by making it available only to players who have played RSC at least once since it went into membership.
As such only accounts which have played RS-classic at least once since it went members only on August 3rd 2005 will be able to do so from now on. That's over 6 months ago so easily covers all the people who are actually still actively playing it - Jagex
My opinion is that this is just the beginning for JageX's Mass Ban Rampage. I feel that even RS2 will be experiencing a Mass Ban sometime soon. The Apocalypse for autoers is here...
This will affect the Black Market for old RSC accounts since they're now so rare and of course it will also reduce the overall people playing in RS seeing as the majority of players in RSC were cheaters.
